This Amsterdam cookshop was founded in 1980 and today it is run by four sons of the founders. Where the company started as a professional sharpening shop, it has now grown into a real cookshop and engraving studio. Master Sharpeners distinguishes themselves with their extraordinary collection of Japanese knives that is not available anywhere else and the personalized options they offer to customers. The ability to personalize products makes Meesterslijpers a good place to visit for gifts to cooking enthusiasts, for example. In addition to the physical store in Amsterdam Oud-West, Meesterslijpers also has a webshop where customers can place orders.

De Uitdaging

Meesterslijpers approached Polaris Growth because they were looking for a professional way to do email marketing. “We missed a lot of opportunities there.” - According to René, one of the co-owners. Since Meesterslijpers was already working with Klaviyo, it was important for Polaris Growth to reshape and improve the existing set-up and processes. To do this, a renewed account set-up was initially implemented with new subscriber, browse and cart abandonment flows. Meesterslijpers and Polaris Growth also strived to ensure an optimal sender reputation. To achieve this goal, a general account check was done with the necessary settings correctly set in Klaviyo.
